Impact of STEC on the global food supply chain

Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) is a common pathogen found in ruminant animals that can lead to contamination of meat and milk during harvesting and processing. It can also contaminate other foods such as fresh produce if water is contaminated.

In this webinar, Roy Betts, Microbiology Ambassador, Campden BRI, will discuss the impact STEC has on our global food supply and what industries need to do to protect their organization, brand and customers.

This webinar will cover:

  • STEC pathogenicity
  • Recent outbreaks in different industries
  • Current control measures and regulatory requirements
  • Testing needs based on regulations

Who should attend?

Anyone working in or interested in food microbiology, food research, food supply chain, food safety, industrial microbiology, and microbiological test method development and validation.
