Dr. Julia Tenhaef is an accomplished biotechnologist with a background in microbial strain development, biosensors, and laboratory automation. Currently a Scientist at Forschungszentrum Juelich in Germany, she works at the Institute of Bio- and Geosciences (IBG-1). Her expertise includes programming automated workflows for molecular biology, and implementing high-throughput experimental techniques to optimize microbial phenotyping and sustainable bio-production processes. Dr. Tenhaef earned her Ph.D. in Natural Sciences from Heinrich Heine University Duesseldorf, focusing on the development of FRET-based glucose sensors. Her professional journey spans academic research, student mentorship, and extensive hands-on experience with robotics and laboratory automation.

Head of High Throughput Screening, Neurocrine Biosciences Inc

Jammieson is a graduate of the University of San Diego, and he has spent the last 26+ years working as a scientist for several biotech and pharmaceutical companies, all located in San Diego, CA. Jammieson specializes in automating scientific processes and has applied this expertise to multiple scientific areas including combinatorial chemistry, compound management, assay development and high-throughput screening (HTS). Over the last 14 years he has been a research scientist and manager for Neurocrine Biosciences, focusing on drug discovery and HTS for neuroscience and endocrinology targets of interest.
