With over 30 years as a clinical microbiology laboratory director, Dr. Susan Sharp is an active member and past president of The American Society for Microbiology (ASM). Dr. Sharp has served on numerous boards and committees, including the CAP Microbiology Resource Committee and the Board of Scientific Councilors for the Office of Infectious Diseases at the CDC. She is currently a board member for the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI).
