Description
A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 3 (ADAM-TS3) cleaves the propeptides of type II collagen prior to fibril assembly. ADAM-TS3 does not act on types I and III collagens. ADAM-TS3 is found in cartilage and skin.
