Alpha-1A adrenergic receptor (ADRA1A) is a G-protein-associated receptor that activates a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system mediated by G(q) and G(11) proteins. ADRA1A is expressed in heart, brain, liver and prostate tissues.
