Description
G-A-5 reacts specifically with Glial Fibrillary Acid Protein. GFAP is the major protein of glial filaments in differentiated astrocytes and ependymal cells. It has a MW of 52 kDa and in the peripheral nervous system GFAP has been demonstrated in Schwann cells.Positive control: Brain, neuroblastoma.
