Lectin, galactoside-binding, soluble, 1 (galectin 1), also known as LGALS1, is a family of beta-galactoside-binding proteins implicated in modulating cell-cell and cell-matrix interactions. LGALS1 may act as an autocrine negative growth factor that regulates cell proliferation. Galectin-1 promotes basal and kainate-induced proliferation of neural progenitors in the hippocampus.1
- Clonality: Polyclonal
- Host: Goat
- Reactivity: Human
- Conjugate: Antigen Affinity Purified
- Gene: 3956
- Quantity: 100 µg
- Storage: The lyophilized antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody can be stored desiccated at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months from date of receipt. The reconstituted antibody can be stored for at least four weeks at 2-8°C. For long-term storage of the reconstituted antibody, aseptically aliquot into working volumes and store at -20°C to -70°C in a manual defrost freezer. Avoid Repeated Freeze Thaw Cycles. No detectable loss of activity was observed after six months.
