Description
Rat Anti-Human IL2RA monoclonal antibody for FC. Rat anti Human CD25, clone YTH906.9HL specifically recognizes human IL-2R alpha chain (IL2RA), otherwise known as CD25, a 55kDa type I transmembrane protein which acts as a receptor for interleukin-2 (IL-2). CD25 is expressed by activated T and B lymphocytes, macrophages and osteoblasts, and by some thymocytes and myeloid precursors, and can be used in histology as a marker for hairy cell leukemia and systemic mastocytosis. CD4+CD25+ cells are known to act as regulatory T cells (Tregs), high levels of which are associated with advanced stage in esophageal and gastric cancer. Genetic variations in CD25 are associated with susceptibility to the multifactorial disorder diabetes mellitus insulin-dependent type 10 (IDDM10), characterized by susceptibility to ketoacidosis in the absence of insulin therapy, and the clinical manifestations polydipsia, polyphagia and polyuria, and long term eye, kidney, and nerve complications.
