Description
Rabbit anti-Human PSPN polyclonal antibody for ELISA, WB. Rabbit anti Human Persephin antibody specifically recognizes human Persephin (PSPN), a neurotrophic protein and member of the Glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor (GDNF) family, which plays a key role in the development of the central nervous system (CNS). PSPN is synthesized throughout the nervous system, and promotes ventral midbrain dompaminergic neuron survival and ureteric bud branching, but unlike GDNF and Neurturin, does not support peripheral neuron survival. PSPN signals through a multicomponent complex consisting of the binding receptor GFRalpha4, co-expressed with the signalling Ret receptor tyrosine kinase.
