Description
Sheep Anti-Human SERPINA3 polyclonal antibody for ELISA, IF. Sheep anti Human alpha 1 antichymotrypsin antibody detects human alpha 1 antichymotrypsin (AACT), a member of the serpin superfamily of serine proteinase inhibitors. AACT has a molecular weight of ~68kDa, and functions to protect the lower respiratory tract from proteolytic damage by inhibiting chymotrypsin-like proteinases, and also plays a role in the acute phase response. Polymorphisms in AACT appear to be tissue specific and influence protease targeting, and mutations in its gene have been implicated in the pathogenesis of Alzheimers disease (AD). AACT levels are elevated in the cerebrospinal fluid of AD patients and elevated levels are also associated with AD severity. Applications：ELISA; IF
