Description
Atxn7 (ataxin-7) acts as component of the STAGA (SPT3-TAF-GCN5 acetylase) transcription coactivator-HAT (histone acetyltransferase) complex. Mediates the interaction of STAGA complex with the CRX (cone-rod homeobox) and is involved in CRX-dependent gene activation.
