Description
Chromogranin-A is a neuroendocrine protein that is cleaved into 13 active peptides, including vasostatin, pancreastatin, catestatin and parastatin. Chromogranin-A is elevated in pheochromocytomas. Chromogranin-A It is used as an indicator for pancreas and prostate cancer and in carcinoid syndrome.
