Description
Cocaine (benzoylmethylecgonine) is a crystalline tropane alkaloid that is obtained from the leaves of the coca plant. A serotonin-norepinephrine-dopamine reuptake inhibitor, cocaine affects the mesolimbic reward pathway and is addictive.
