Description
Dynamin-1 is a microtubule-associated force-producing protein involved in producing microtubule bundles and able to bind and hydrolyze GTP. Dynamin-1 is involved in vesicular trafficking processes, and is involved in receptor-mediated endocytosis. Phosphorylation of Ser774 by GSK3 has been shown to control activity-dependent bulk endocytosis of synaptic vesicles. This antibody is specific for the 95-kDa dynamin protein phosphorylated at Ser774. The antibody detects purified Dynamin phosphorylated in vitro by CdK5 but not by PKC. The antibody does not cross-react with other proteins subtrates of Cdk5 such as amphiphysin and synapsin.
