Application Area:

Flow cytometry, cell sorting

This antibody is easy-to-use with a good signal-to-noise ratio and is applicable for sorting cells either assisted by a FACS sorter or by flow cytometry. Even though the primary usage is not immunofluorescence or western blot type assays, we have tried the product for staining fixed, cultured cells and it worked good enough. The fact that the primary is conjugated with a fluorescent protein eliminates the need to use a secondary antibody which saves time as well as money, as a single antibody will suffice. Dilutions such as 1:1000-1:2000 were more than enough to get a good signal, depending on the density of the target (which is variable depending on the cultured cell's nature as well as the absence and presence of specific manipulations such as small-molecule exposure/addition to the culture medium, transduced or transfected cells etc.) Higher concentrations (1:200-1:500) could also be an option if initially the signal is too low/hard to detect using a lower dilution.
