Description
Flumequine, a drug of the fluoroquinolon class, is a synthetic chemotherapeutic antibiotic which kills bacteria by interfering with the enzymes that cause DNA to unwind and duplicate. This drug is no longer used in medicine as more effective antibacterial drugs have been developed.
