FOXO1/FKHR (forkhead box 01) belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors, which contain a distinct forkhead domain. Chromosomal aberrations involving FOXO1, such as translocation with with PAX3, are associated with alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. The specific function of this gene is undetermined.
