Description
Goat anti Human TRAF2 antibody recognizes human tumor necrosis factor (TNF) receptor associated factor 2 (TRAF2), a member of the TNF receptor associated factor (TRAF) protein family. TRAF2 is an adapter protein and signal transducer, which acts downstream of the TNF receptor. TRAF2 directly binds with TNF receptors and other TRAF proteins, and is essential for TNF alpha mediated activation of MAPK8/JNK and NF-kappaB. TRAF2 plays a role in apoptosis, through the formation of a heterodimeric complex with TRAF1, and interaction with the IAP family members cIAP1 and cIAP2, functioning as a mediator of the anti-apoptotic signals from TNF receptors.. Goat anti Human TRAF2 recognizes TRAF2 as a band of 46 kDa in a range of human cell line lysates. Cross reactivity with rodent cell lines is also observed.
