Description
HNF4A (hepatocyte nuclear receptor 4A, NR2A1, TCF14) is an orphan nuclear receptor and activator of transcription. HNF4A is major regulator of the hepatocytic phenotype and regulates genes involved in the control of lipid homeostasis. Mutations in HNF4A can cause maturity onset diabetes of the young (MODY1). HNF4A binds DNA as a homodimer and is involved in the development of the liver, kidney and intestine. This antibody was used in IF as described in Kimura, H. et al (2008) Cell Struct Func 33: 61-73.
