Description
Rabbit polyclonal antibody to IL1 alpha also known as hematopoietin1; which is expressed in the urinary bladder cell but is highly expressed in the bronchial epithelium cell and alveolar macrophage. It is found in the cytosol. This protein is produced by activated macrophages and stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release; B-cell maturation; proliferation and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response being identified as endogenous pyrogens and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.
