Mouse anti Human Glial Fibrillary Acidic Protein antibody, clone GF-05 is also reactive in ELISA with antigen coating at 5 μg/ml and may react with GFAP from other species.Mutations in the GFAP gene may result in presentation of Alexander disease (ALXDRD), a rare neurological condition affecting infants and characterized by myelination failure leading to early death (Brenner et al. 2001)
