Description
The nociceptin receptor (KOR-3) is the receptor for the neuropeptide nocipeptin/orphanin FQ. KOR-3 has a potential role in modulating a number of brain functions, including instinctive behaviors and emotions . The KOR-3 activity is mediated by G proteins which inhibit adenyl cyclase.
