Description
Cyclin-dependent kinase 4 inhibitor C (p18-INK4c) inhibits cell growth and proliferation with a correlated dependence on endogenous retinoblastoma protein RB. p18-INK4c interacts strongly with CDK6, weakly with CDK4. The highest levels of p18-INK4c are found in skeletal muscle. p18-INK4c is also found in pancreas and heart.
