Description
PANDER (FAM3B, Cytokine-like protein 2-21) is a cytokine having delayed effects on beta-cell function, inhibiting basal insulin secretion from a beta-cell line. PANDER is expressed at high levels in the pancreatic islets of Langerhans and to a lesser extent in small intestine, prostate, stomach, round spermatids, fetal liver, cerebellum Purkinje cell layer, and brain stem nuclei.
