Description
Rabbit anti Bovine Asialo GM1 antibody recognizes bovine asialo-GM1, a neutral glycosphingolipid expressed on the surface on natural killer (NK) cells and come macrophages in mice (Stein-Streilein and Guffee 1986). Asialo-GM1 is reported to play a role in neuronal plasticity and the release of neurotrophins in the brain. It has been reported that this antibody cross reacts with the cholesterol glycolipids of B.burgdorferi, the predominant causative agent of Lyme disease.
