Description
RXR-b (retinoid X receptor beta, NR2B2) is a member of the nuclear receptors superfamily, specifically those involved in mediating the effects of retinoic acid (RA). RXR-b forms heterodimers with the RAR (retinoic acid receptor), TR (thyroid hormone receptor) and the VDR (vitamin D receptor), increasing both DNA binding and transcriptional function on their respective response elements.
