Description
Sulfanitran, a sulfonamide, is an antiprotozoal that was formerly used in veterinary practice for the control of coccidiosis in poultry. It blocks the synthesis of dihydrofolic acid by inhibiting the enzyme dihydropteroate synthase in bacteria.
