At this year's Biotechnica, the leading trade fair for biotechnology, which is taking place from October 8 to 10 in Hanover, Analytik Jena AG is introducing two new product lines in the areas of Biolmaging and PCR UV Workstations. At booth E40 in hall 9 and together with its subsidiaries UVP and CyBio, Analytik Jena will present its latest developments for everything from sample handling to PCR technology to final detection of results. The product highlights primarily include the two new product lines ChemStudio SA and PCR UV Workstation as well as the new InnuPure® C96.

Initial introduction of the ChemStudio product line: With ChemStudio SA, Analytik Jena is introducing a new generation of devices for imaging control for every user. The chemiluminescence system is designed for a wide range of different applications. Depending on the chosen system configuration, the applications range from simple gel documentation to advanced, multispectral and multifunctional imaging.

The new product line PCR UV Cabinets & Workstations uses short-wave, ultraviolet radiation in order to prevent an undesired transfer of nucleic acids in subsequent experiments. The systems combine UV radiation, antimicrobial stainless steel and aluminium in order to achieve double effectiveness against PCR contamination. In addition to the standard PCR UV² models, PCR UV³ HEPA systems with integrated three-step HEPA filters are available.

The further development of the purification robot InnuPure® C96 makes the high-throughput system for the fully automated purification of nucleic acids more efficient. InnuPure® C96 enables quick and fully automated nucleic acid extraction from complex raw materials in the 96-well standard format. For this, the extraction system relies on the proven principles of liquid handling and purification on the basis of magnetic particle separation, whereby high yields and excellent purities can be achieved.
