Horizon Technology’s SPE-DEX® 4790 automated extraction system performs all solid phase extraction steps for aqueous samples directly from their original containers. This bench top system designed for optimal chemistry and limited user involvement features an efficient fluid path and few moving parts.

Modularity allows for one to as many as eight extractors to be linked and controlled simultaneously or as independent modules maximizing method flexibility. SPE-DEX® is perfectly suited to handle 40 mL up to 20 L samples easily accommodating SPE disks or cartridges. All steps in the extraction process including preconditioning, water sample filtration, air drying, and final extraction of the sorbed analytes are sequentially executed in an unattended manner. Numerous pre-written software methods are available providing consistent recoveries, while reducing solvent consumption by as much as 90%. The SPE-DEX 4790 replaces labor intensive liquid-liquid extractions, is compatible with sediment laden water samples and prevents the formation of emulsions. The system is available now for use in your environmental lab.
