Autoscribe Informatics, a leading provider of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) will be showing its flagship Matrix Gemini LIMS as well as the entry level ‘Out of the Box’ Matrix Express LIMS at Pittcon 2014, booth #3859.

Matrix Gemini is a desktop and web-based platform that provides a highly configurable LIMS environment. This allows exact user requirements to be accommodated in terms of workflows, screen designs, menu designs, terminology, report designs and much more, without the need for custom coding. This flexibility facilitates sample tracking, management and data reporting requirements in a host of demanding environments.

These include high volume, regulated sectors such as clean water providers and wastewater companies, the environmental monitoring and sterilization testing essential to detecting changing trends in the manufacture of medical devices, and pharmaceutical stability testing for companies developing and producing over the counter, generics and new prescription products where the LIMS must interface with other enterprise systems such as ERP or MRP.

A key feature of the Matrix Gemini platform is FDA-level auditing. An event log records even the most basic activities ensuring the system can meet CFR21 Part II compliance, while its flexible configuration ensures easy incorporation of any changes in regulatory requirements for testing.

The Matrix Express LIMS provides all the basic functionality required in a LIMS including sample/work registration, test allocation, sample receipt, sample preparation, result entry, limit checking, result validation, sample approval and reporting. It includes a comprehensive security system and audit trails and is therefore suitable for regulated industries and applications. Upgrades and additional modules are available to increase functionality.
