BAC launches CaptureSelect^® toolbox for antibody purification

BAC BV, the Bio Affinity Company, today launched the CaptureSelect^® Antibody Toolbox – a range of products for the affinity purification of antibodies. The Antibody Toolbox offers researchers a new range of products that will simplify and streamline their purification protocols, eliminating many of the drawbacks of the current gold-standards for antibody purification. Specifically, CaptureSelect removes the uncertainty in selecting affinity media, and cuts optimization steps. The CaptureSelect Antibody Toolbox consists of the following products:

• CaptureSelect Fab kappa affinity matrix: for all human antibodies containing kappa light chains
• CaptureSelect Fab lambda affinity matrix: for all human antibodies containing lambda light chains
• CaptureSelect Human Fc affinity matrix: for all subclasses of human IgG
• CaptureSelect Multi Species affinity matrix: for IgG from multiple species

Building on the success of the CaptureSelect ligands in large scale industrial processing, BAC developed the Antibody Toolbox to give laboratory researchers access to the advantages that the ligands offer. “We saw a need for a new product for antibody purification in the lab. Currently, researchers using Proteins A, G or L face a number of obstacles in the design and optimization of a protocol for their specific antibody. The Antibody Toolbox takes away the uncertainty involved in selecting the appropriate affinity media for the job, and minimizes method testing and optimization,” said Mark ten Haaft, Director of Ligand Application at BAC.
