CEM Introduces New Microwave Peptide Cleavage System

The Accent™ Cleavage System will enable chemists to perform a full peptide cleavage in less than 30 minutes and microcleavages in as little as two minutes, providing the most comprehensive method for determining peptide synthesis quality.

“The microwave technique has become the method of choice for peptide synthesis and there has been significant interest in a system for microwave-enhanced cleavage,” said Michael J. Accent is fast, improves peptide purities and yields, and enables chemists to use less noisome reagents, which is a major improvement over current cleavage methods. The system accepts 4-, 25- and 35-mL vessels and a cleavage scale of microcleavage to 0.25 mmol.
