CHATA Biosystems Takes Silver at Premier Industry Competition

17 Apr 2006

CHATA Biosystems, an innovator lab efficiency, is pleased to announce that its newly released CHEM+MIX Automated Solution Preparation System won the coveted 2006 Pittsburgh Conference Editors’ Silver Award.

The Pittsburgh Conference is the largest, most comprehensive laboratory sciences event in the world, attracting more than 20,000 attendees and 1,000 exhibitors from more than 80 countries.

Each year Pittsburgh Conference Editors select the three most innovative new products introduced to the industry. Competing against a field of international companies, CHATA’s CHEM+MIX system beat out products introduced by industry giants such as Agilent, Bio-Rad, and PerkinElmer.

CHEM+MIX is a PC-controlled instrument that fully automates the preparation and pH adjustment of chemical solutions such as HPLC mobile phases, buffers, blended organic solvents, and aqueous solutions. Using CHEM+MIX, lab personnel have the ability to quickly and easily prepare accurate and consistent solutions, store solution preparation procedures and print GLP compliant documentation – all at the touch of a button. Pittsburgh Conference Editors gave CHEM+MIX high marks for its ability to save substantial time and money preparing reagents used for applications such as chromatographic, electrophoresis, and extraction methods development.

"CHATA is honored to receive the Silver Award, particularly given this year’s impressive showing of new technologies," stated Jerald Kuiken, CEO of CHATA Biosystems. "The response to CHEM+MIX from R&D, drug discovery, and quality control lab personnel was extremely positive, and further demonstrates that laboratory automation technologies are in high demand."
