It has been a busy year for SelectScience. We have carried out exclusive interviews in some of the most advanced clinical laboratories in the world. In this article, we highlight just some of these interesting interviews. We look forward to bringing you even more exclusive reports in 2015.

1. Analyzing Footballers with Mass Spec: Exclusive WADA Anti-Doping Interview

SelectScience went behind the scenes at the WADA-accredited Laboratoire Suisse d’Analyse du Dopage (LAD) in Switzerland, during the 2014 FIFA World Cup. During our visit, we learned how state-of-the-art mass spectrometry is being used to detect the smallest amounts of forbidden substances in samples. The selectivity and sensitivity of LC-MS is essential to LAD in the ongoing fight against doping in sport.

5. New Weaponry Available in Antimicrobial Resistance Fight: Don’t Send Us Back to the Dark Ages!

The recent European Antibiotics Awareness Day raised international awareness of antimicrobial resistance in Australia, Canada and the USA.
