Eksigent Technologies announces the expansion of its ChromXP chromatography column line, to include eight new stationary phases. The 300 µm i.d. columns are optimized to deliver maximum performance on the company's ExpressLC-100 and -800 HPLC Systems, and are compatible with all capillary LC instruments.

"With these new additions, we now have a complete range of columns to support all reversed phase separations," commented Phil DeLand, Senior Product Manager for Eksigent. "Our column line helps users get the highest data quality that our systems can deliver."

ChromXP columns are now offered in C4, C8 and C18 reversed phases, including a C8 and C18 embedded polar phase. There is also a C18 for use with highly aqueous mobile phases, to separate compounds unretained on traditional C18 columns. Each column is offered in lengths of 30, 50, 100 and 150 mm.

ExpressLC Systems, based on Eksigent's proprietary microfluidic technology, deliver high-resolution, high-speed separations that cannot be achieved with conventional HPLC. Although ExpressLC systems work with a range of commercially available 300 µm i.d. columns, the ChromXP columns are designed and optimized to operate at the high linear flow velocities of the ExpressLC Systems.

ChromXP columns feature "toolless" finger-tight fittings, enabling the user to install the columns by hand, without wrenches. These easy-to-use fittings cut the time to change a column in half, while providing higher overall connection integrity.
