ELGA introduces two new products to bring the benefits of the highly successful CENTRA laboratory water systems to users of small and local loops. The CENTRA was developed to provide water purification, storage and distribution in just one integrated unit for large laboratories, avoiding the use of expensive and untidy central systems or an assortment of point-of-use purifiers. The new ELGA LabWater CENTRA R60 and R120 models are designed for the smaller laboratory.

The CENTRA improves the management of your loop system, incorporating an array of system operations, monitors and alarms. Its small footprint means the complete water purification, storage, control and distribution system can be installed under a bench, where it takes up only the space of a double cupboard.

With a continuous capacity up to 120 litres per hour, and a maximum dispense rate of 10 litres per minute, the CENTRA R120 can supply two adjacent laboratory loops with Grade III water from a mains water feed, using reverse osmosis and UV photo-oxidation. Add the optional deionisation cartridge and 0.2µm filter to upgrade to Type II quality with resistivity <5MΩ.cm, TOC <30ppb and TVC <1 cfu/ml.

Among the many features of the CENTRA R60 and CENTRA R120 units are unique access controls, a leak detection system and full audio visual alarms with optional building management system (BMS) connectivity. Sanitisation is quick and easy, and fully validatable to ensure optimum performance throughout the life of the unit.
