GE Healthcare, a unit of General Electric Company and a leading global provider of automated high content analysis systems, today presents a preview of its new IN Cell Miner High-Content Manager (HCM) software for the management of complex data generated by cellular high content analysis (HCA) and screening, at the CHI High Content Analysis meeting in San Francisco.

The new IN Cell Miner HCM will be available later this year and represents a robust and scalable data management solution that has been developed in collaboration with EMC Corporation. The system is based on EMC’s leading electronic content management system, EMC Documentum OEM edition, and handles data that have been generated by the IN Cell Analyzer and similar systems. By integrating the Documentum content management system with the IN Cell Analyzer, GE Healthcare provides a single platform that enables customers to consistently capture, manage, share and archive HCA data, thereby enhancing research efficiency, data security and customers' ability to ensure regulatory compliance.

“By combining the market-leading electronic content management system with an open standards based data model and our IN Cell Analyzer imaging platform, we can deliver a data management solution that allows scientists to increase their research productivity and make the most of their valuable results” said Ger Brophy, General Manager Advanced Systems at GE Healthcare. “EMC Documentum enables us to provide an extensible solution that is capable of dealing efficiently with the large amount of complex data generated by the IN Cell Analyzer and similar systems.”

As part the company’s relationship with EMC, GE Healthcare has also joined the EMC Documentum Application Developer Program. As a member, GE Healthcare receives specialized design consultation and guidance, along with access to dedicated Documentum technical resources to ensure that GE Healthcare’s solution meets the highest quality standards.

As a member, partners can submit their offering to be considered for “Designed for EMC Documentum” accreditation, which ensures their offering, has met all requirements to be certified on the Documentum platform.

"We are thrilled that GE Healthcare chose to embed our Content Management platform as part of their solution for customers in the HCA market,” said Barry Ruditsky, Vice President of Content Management Business Development, EMC Software Group. “GE Heathcare is a leader in their industry, and the release of their IN Cell Miner HCM product demonstrates the growing success of our OEM strategy, offering content management platform software specifically designed to add value to ISV applications resulting in world-class products and solutions."
