Hamilton Company, world leader in fluid measurements, announces design enhancements to its line of SoftGrip single-channel pipettes. SoftGrip pipettes, which are shaped to the contour of the hand, have been independently evaluated for their fatigue-reducing, ergonomic design. The new pipettes feature a slimmer ejector sleeve for better test tube reach and enlarged tip ejector and plunge buttons for even greater comfort.

The SoftGrip product line includes six adjustable-volume and 10 fixed-volume pipettes, from 0.2 µL to 1 mL. Each pipette is calibrated with standards traceable to N.I.S.T. and shipped with a Certificate of Calibration documenting the unit’s accuracy and precision. The SoftGrip air-displacement pipettes are autoclavable for easy decontamination and sterilization. Use of the SoftGrip pipette can decrease several of the risk factors for repetitive stress injuries. “Our studies show that SoftGrip gets the highest satisfaction marks from users on many different aspects of pipetting,” commented Jason March, “We were the first company to design ergonomics into our pipettes and these new enhancements raise the bar even higher.”
