High performance microplate products for drug discovery

Porvair Sciences Ltd. has announced that its will be displaying its comprehensive range of microplate products for drug discovery laboratories at the SBS/ELRIG 2008 meeting in Bournemouth, UK.

Visitors to Stand CO9 will be able to see how the TriSeal™ High Throughput Sealing Station provides busy screening or compound management laboratories with a compact, easy-to-use solution for automated microplate sealing and stacking.

For laboratories looking to remove the traditional drug discovery 'bottleneck' of solvent evaporation in 96- or 384-well microplates prior to analysis or reconstitution in buffer the robot-compatible UltraVap™ sample concentrator will be of particular interest. Significant increases in sample throughput are achieved through advanced evaporator head technology and an innovative manifold design, which directly injects heated nitrogen into each individual well of the microplate simultaneously. The system is proven to remove even the most stubborn solvents in just minutes.
