Life science specialists – AMSBIO offers an extensive range of highly characterized, high-purity exosomes for use as control standards in applications including marker assessment, immunocapture performance evaluation, exosome quantification, OMICS analysis, flow cytometry, and electron microscopy.

Exosomes or extracellular vesicles (EV) are small endosome-derived lipid nanoparticles (50-300nm in diameter), actively secreted by exocytosis in most living cells. Exosomes have been shown to have pleiotropic physiological and pathological functions and play significant roles in diverse conditions such as cancer, and infectious and neurodegenerative diseases.

Benefiting from an exceptionally large cell bank built up over several decades, AMSBIO is in a unique position to offer researchers an unmatched range of exosomes from a wide variety of biological sources, including cell culture supernatant, human plasma, serum, and urine. All exosomes supplied by AMSBIO are supplied lyophilized meaning they are easy to ship, store for up to 36 months (+4° to 8⁰C), and reconstitute.

Smaller diameter exosomes are supplied highly purified using a combination of tangential flow filtration (TFF) and size exclusion chromatography (SEC). Exosomes larger than 150 nm diameter are purified using tangential flow filtration (TFF). All AMSBIO isolated exosome standards are then quantified and validated for overall protein content, size distribution, concentration, and specific marker expression by Nanoparticles Tracking Analysis. This unique combination of high purity and comprehensive marker characterization delivers exceptionally reliable research results. To track the distribution and movement of specific exosome standards, AMSBIO also offers fluorescent labeling.
