Proper blocking of the unoccupied areas of the ELISA plate wells is paramount to reducing background noise and attaining an accurate result. The two new formulations offer researchers additional choices in reagents to optimize their ELISAs.

ICT's ELISA Blocking Buffer formulations reduce nonspecific binding of sample and assay components to the ELISA well while stabilizing the coated protein. The Alternative Block Blocking Buffer (Code BB5) is a new all-synthetic ELISA blocking buffer free of proteins and detergents. The Monster Block Blocking Buffer (Code BB6) is a new ELISA blocking buffer utilizing a heterogenous mixture of non-mammalian blocking agents.

ICT's ELISA Blocking Buffer formulations reduce nonspecific binding of sample and assay components to the ELISA well while stabilizing the coated protein. Six formulations offer various benefits to different assay situations - General Blocker Blocking Buffer BB1, Neptune Block Blocking Buffer BB2, SynBlock Blocking Buffer BB3, Phosph-Free Blocking Buffer BB4, Alternative Block Blocking Buffer BB5, and Monster Block Blocking Buffer BB6. ICT also offers a Blocking Buffer Optimization Pack (BBOP), which allows researchers to try three different formulations at a reduced rate.
