Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT), the world leader in oligonucleotide synthesis, will be speaking at the upcoming Antibody Engineering and Therapeutics conference in Huntington Beach, CA, December 9-12. Michel Cannieux, PhD, MBA, Director of Product Commercialization, Synthetic Biology at IDT will discuss a novel, rapid and reliable method to build and clone genes of interest at a fraction of the cost of full gene synthesis.

The talk, entitled “Rapid and Reliable Gene Construction with gBlocks™ Gene Fragments and Gibson Assembly™ Method” will take place at 12.00 on December 11. As double stranded, sequence verified DNA blocks up to 750 base pairs, gBlocks Gene Fragments have high sequence fidelity. As a result, they are ideal for use in a broad range of biological applications. This presentation will review the assembly of gene fragments using the Gibson Assembly Method and discuss design, protocols and applications.

Michel Cannieux holds a PhD in Plant Molecular Biology and has over 15 years’ experience in the life science industry, developing and supporting tools and solutions for functional analysis, including RNAi and synthetic biology.
