Miele Professional receives My Green Lab ACT ecolabel accreditation for sustainable lab solutions

Miele Professional, a leader in high performance commercial appliances, is pleased to announce that it has received My Green Lab’s ACT ecolabel accreditation for the PG 8583 Undercounter and the PLW 8617 Large Chamber laboratory glasswashers.
The glasswashers, which are suitable for laboratories of any size, are built with sustainability in mind. Both are designed to be highly efficient, offering resource-saving performance. With a combination of time-saving programs, spacious cabinets, and durable construction, they reduce carbon footprints while delivering exceptional wash results.
For example, the PLW 8617 washer uses up to 60% less water per load compared to previous models; whereas the PG 8583 washer, despite its smaller size, can process up to 128 laboratory bottles per cycle, reducing resource consumption per unit cleaned.
The My Green Lab ACT ecolabel accreditation is the world’s premier ecolabel for laboratory products and is awarded to solutions that meet high sustainable and environmental standards. It was designed to verify third-party information and help scientists, lab professionals and procurement specialists be clear about the environmental impacts of products.
It emphasizes Accountability, Consistency, and Transparency (ACT) around product manufacturing, energy sourcing, product content, resource use, packaging, durability, and end-of-life recycling options. ACT-labelled items have been independently audited by Verico and are published in a publicly available database by My Green Lab.
