Dionex introduces the new IonPac® AS22 column for the determination of inorganic anions including fluoride, acetate, chloride, nitrite, bromide, nitrate, phosphate and sulfate in a variety of sample matrices. The column provides improved peak shape and efficiencies compared to the IonPac AS14 and AS14A columns. The unique selectivity of the AS22 ensures that the common inorganic anions are free from carbonate interference even at very high concentrations of carbonate. The inorganic anions are well resolved in approximately 12 minutes using an isocratic carbonate/bicarbonate eluent. The AS22 is ideally suited for Reagent-Free™ ion chromatography (RFIC™) systems for automatic and reproducible eluent generation.

The IonPac AS22 column meets the performance requirements specified in U.S. EPA Method 300.0 (A). The common inorganic anions are easily separated in a variety of sample matrices including drinking water, wastewater, industrial cooling waters, power plant waters, scrubber solutions, foods, beverages, polymers, and pharmaceutical preparations.

The AS22 is solvent compatible. Solvents are used to modify column selectivity, facilitate column clean-up after the analysis of complex matrices, or enhance sample solubility. The column is available in both 4-mm (standard bore) and 2-mm (microbore) formats.
