Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the manufacture of separation science consumables, announces the addition of regenerated cellulose (RC) syringe filters to its popular Phenex line. By removing particulates from the sample, the filters prevent buildup and blockage of chromatography columns and frits while minimizing wear and tear on injection valves. Sample filtration can ultimately reduce system downtime and component replacement. The new RC membranes deliver clean sample with no detectable leachates and they are compatible with HPLC, GC, IC and CE analysis.

Phenex-RC filters have many advantages over traditional nylon membrane offerings, including wider chemical compatibility. These durable filters offer higher flow rates and perform at greater throughput levels. Phenex-RC filters are also effective for preparation of biological samples including proteins, peptides and other biomolecules.

All Phenomenex Phenex syringe filters are HPLC-tested for extractables and meet quality standards including ISO, DIN and ASTM. The filters are delivered with a certificate of analysis and they are batch-traceable.

"Our quality control and certification programs ensure that these are the best filters on the market, and they are backed by a solid product guarantee," commented JT Presley, brand manager for Phenomenex. "Our new Phenex-RC syringe filters replace a wide variety of membrane types, delivering fast, efficient filtration for improved system performance and results."

Phenomenex is a global technology leader committed to developing novel separation, purification and analytical chemistry solutions for the life sciences and related industries. Phenomenex's core technologies include products for liquid chromatography, gas chromatography, sample preparation, bulk purification chromatographic media, and chromatography accessories and equipment.
