Phenomenex Inc., a global leader in the research and manufacture of advanced technologies for the separation sciences, has announced that its PhenoLogix in-house analytical services group has moved to an expanded, stand-alone facility. The 9,000-square-foot, fully functional laboratory is equipped and staffed to develop methods for customers and addresses unique user challenges in UHPLC, LC, LC/MS, GC and sample preparation.

PhenoLogix provides complete support for the company’s broad product line to customers in drug discovery and development, environmental testing, food safety and quality, forensics and clinical research. PhenoLogix also regularly publishes technical and application notes and develops posters and training symposiums.

“From method development and transfer to understanding the nuances of current sample preparation techniques, our scientists are dedicated to customer support,” commented Sean Orlowicz, manager of PhenoLogix. “We provide our services via phone or online communication and even at the customer site if necessary.”

PhenoLogix grew out of Phenomenex’ research and development department into a self-contained organization staffed with a team of applications scientists dedicated to developing solutions for customers. The new facility houses LC, GC, MS and liquid handling instruments from multiple manufacturers to cover a complete range of applications. The organization’s expert analysts take on projects involving HPLC, UHPLC, GC, GC/MS, LC/MS/MS, SPE method development and optimization, as well as sample preparation, impurity isolations, chiral screening and small- to medium- scale purifications.
