Powerful Cutting Mill Handles Heterogeneous Samples

8 Feb 2006

The high-performance mill SM 2000 from RETSCH excels especially in the tough jobs where other cutting mills fail.

Apart from dry plant material, food, feeds or paper, RETSCH’s Cutting Mill also grinds bones, household waste, electronic scrap, various plastics including preforms, as well as alternative fuels and leather.

To customize the mill for the various applications, it comes in a modular design: the powerful 1.5 KW motor is available in two speed versions; different rotor designs, hoppers and collecting systems allow for perfect adaptation to the sample characteristics and prevent undesired temperature rise in the ground product. The housing can be opened from the front and from the top for easy cleaning. Safety switches and an electronic safety check assure a high level of operator safety.

The benefits at a glance:

  • Powerful size reduction even of heterogeneous mixtures
  • Defined final fineness
  • Low heat build-up
  • Fold-back housing
  • Wide range of accessories
