Protea to Showcase New Applications with LAESI DP-1000 Platform and New Mass Spectrometry Imaging Services at the 61st ASMS Conference

Protea is releasing at the ASMS conference seven new scientific posters that expand upon the LAESI DP-1000 Direct Ionization System’s capabilities. The topics of these posters highlight the extension and versatility of the LAESI DP-1000 System in pharmaceutical, biomarker, agrochemical, and in vivo applications The LAESI DP-1000 System’s biomolecular distribution profiling proficiency and as-is sample analysis method combined with high-resolution mass spectrometry spawns an ever-growing field of applications.

proteaWorks Imaging and Bioanalytical Laboratory is a multidisciplinary organization providing a holistic approach to bioanalytical studies. Utilizing innovative technologies, expertise, and established scientific & business practices, proteaWorks bridges the gap between analytical chemistry and biology. proteaWorks combines bioanalytical and imaging mass spectrometry disciplines to deliver visualization, characterization, identification, and quantitation information to support scientists’ research projects.

proteaScope is a first-of-its-kind mass spectrometry-enhanced microscopy service. Using a fiber-optic LAESI-MS technique and a web-based collaborative platform, proteaScope offers an interactive interface that allows researchers to pinpoint specific morphological structures for mass spectrometric analysis. proteaScope is a new service provided through proteaWorks that allows researchers to obtain molecular fingerprints of user-defined morphological targets for fixed, frozen, and in vivo samples.
