"Pulverisette 5" Planetary Mill

13 Dec 2007

With this modified universal mill the sample preparation and the sample analysis have again equal rights on the laboratory bench.

The well-known and reliable Planetary mill reduces hard to soft sample dry or in suspension down to final fineness of < 1 µm and now with the following new and very interesting modifications:

  • Synchronous toothed belt drive of the bowls to guarantee a slip-free and constant transmission ratio between the bowls and main disc
  • Automatic reverse (direction of rotation reversed periodically) to improve the grinding results
  • Unbalance detection. If the unbalance is too great, the instrument switches off
  • New smaller housing in the equipment family design with most innovative technology
  • Bench top model with 25% smaller footprint
  • Lighter in weight
  • Integral fan located in the grinding chamber for additional cooling permits longer grinding process.

Naturally, the tried and tested features of its predecessors, like maintenance-free bearings for mechanical parts, user-friendly control via a membrane keyboard, safe lock clamping system for the grinding bowls, etc., have also been incorporated in this model.
