SATO, a company specializing in Automatic Identification and Data Collection (AIDC), barcoding, labelling and EPC/RFID, has announced that it is to showcase a range of healthcare sector solutions at the Connecting Healthcare (conhIT) exhibition taking place in Germany later this month.

The conhIT industrial fair will take place from the 24th-26th of April at the fair ground in Berlin. The fair will feature more than 260 exhibitors and will present a full range of Healthcare IT products and services.

SATO will be presenting its products alongside its two German business partners Elmicron, a system integrator specialising in automatic data communications based in Naumburg, and Patrise, a specialist in patient identification and instrument tracking and identification systems located in Eltville. To meet the needs of the healthcare sector SATO has developed a comprehensive system of solutions to help decrease patient identification errors in hospitals and patient healthcare facilities, which also promote best practice for the positive identification of patients, medications, specimens and samples, treatments, lab results and records, in addition to solutions for patient wristbands and blood-bag labelling.

Positive identification protects patient safety and helps avoid medical errors, while increasing a hospital’s productivity and reducing their costs. For many years SATO has worked closely with hospitals from around the world to develop straightforward, yet fail-safe systems of patient identification, to ensure hospitals remain as safe and error-free as possible.
